Laser: Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation. The laser uses the light amplified by stimulated emission. Laser cutting is one of the most famous methods of cutting or carving or engraving any kind of material like from simplest paper to the hardest known material diamond.
Laser Cutting: Metal laser cutting machine offers the extreme flexibility and handling properties. It is the most used method for cutting metals which uses a simple process using a laser beam.
How does it work:
The process is simple with three components.
- An external pump source
- The resonator
- Active laser medium
The pump source is used for external guiding with the additional energy to the laser. The Resonator is of two mirrors that amplifies and focuses the laser light to the surface. The active laser medium is placed inside the laser that consists of a mixture of gas, a crystal body or a fibreglass.

Once the external energy is given to the resonator the beam of light passes through it which focuses and amplifies the light beam in the laser medium which then focuses the light beam to the metal which needs to be shaped or for cutting to a specific shape or size.
